Engine
Mount Front Support
Description:
This
is a metal to rubber bounded mounting to isolate vibrations
emanating from the engine at various power outputs, RPMs
etc. The mounting is so designed to efficiently isolate
engine vibration during idling and during various gear shifts
and throttle positions
Location:
In
each vehicle, two such mounts are fitted on either side
of the engine above the chassis at a pre-designed angle.
Usage:
This
mounts are used on Sumo MUV , Scorpio SUV & Bolero MUV
vehicles manufactured by Tata Motors Ltd. Mahindra & Mahindra
Ltd., as engine foundation. |

Engine Mount Rear Support
Description:
This
mount is similarly designed to absorb vibrations emanating
from the rear of the engine and the gear box It is also
known as gear box mounting
Location:
It
is located directly underneath gearbox on top of the chassis.
Usage:
These mounts are also used on Sumo MUV , Scorpio
SUV & Bolero MUV vehicles manufactured by Tata Motors
Ltd. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., as engine foundation. |
